Privacy policy
Last updated October 13, 2026. This policy explains what information Gates Open Advisory collects through gatesopenadvisory.com and what we do with it. The short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.
What we collect
Contact form. When you send an inquiry, we receive your name, email address, organization, event date, the service you’re interested in and your message. These are emailed to us and stored in our website’s database so we can follow up.
Site statistics. Like most websites, we collect basic, aggregated information about visits, such as pages viewed, referring sites, browser type and approximate location. We use this to understand which pages are useful. We don’t use it to identify you.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information such as IP addresses and request times to keep the site secure and running.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Bluehost (hosting and email), Automattic’s Jetpack and Akismet (site statistics, contact form and spam filtering, which means form submissions are checked by Akismet’s service), and Google Fonts (typefaces loaded from Google’s servers). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting engagement, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies needed for it to work and for basic statistics. We don’t run advertising or tracking cookies for marketing.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing adam@gatesopenadvisory.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
